Deskripsi Produk

Planetary Type Laying Up Machine Uses A Rotating Planetary Cage To Twist Or Lay Up Multiple Insulated Cores

A planetary type laying up machine uses a rotating planetary cage to twist or lay up multiple insulated cores, screens, or armor into a finished cable with controlled lay length and low residual torsion. It is widely used for power cables, control cables, XLPE-insulated cables, charging pile cables, and can also perform screening/armoring in a single pass. Typical line components include: central pay-off, planetary stranding cage, assembly die, taping/armoring device, meter counter, traction (capstan), take-up with traverse, and PLC/HMI control. Machines commonly support both full back‑twist and zero back‑twist modes to suit product torsion requirements

How to size for your application

  • Define finished cable OD and structure: number of cores, lay length/pitch, and whether you need back‑twist (planetary) or zero back‑twist.

  • Match single‑wire capability: ensure your max single‑wire Ø and material (Cu/Al) are within the machine’s rated range (e.g., Φ10–35 mm on large frames; smaller frames down to Φ1–5 mm).

  • Set haul‑off and capstan: choose a capstan diameter and max line speed consistent with your production target and pull force (e.g., up to 25 T on large frames).

  • Reel logistics: confirm PN sizes for in‑cage bobbins and take‑up to match your plant handling and shipping standards.

  • Control and quality: plan for PLC/HMI with tension, pitch, and length control; add in‑line OD/geometry and eccentricity monitoring as required

    .

Typical line configuration and options

  • Core group: central pay‑off with planetary cage(s) for compact, low‑torsion lay‑up; cradles can be locked for zero back‑twist or run full back‑twist to neutralize torsion.

  • Taping/armoring: concentric taping or armoring devices before or after the cage, with selectable pitch and speed.

  • Metering and traction: meter counter + capstan sized to line speed and haul‑off force.

  • Take‑up: column‑type take‑up with traverse sized to finished OD and drum capacity.

  • Automation: PLC/HMI touchscreen for tension, pitch, and length; recipe storage and interlocks; optional emergency stop upgrades

    .

Lead time and procurement notes

  • Typical lead time: about 90–100 working days after deposit for standard configurations; warranty commonly 12 months.

  • Brands and components: many suppliers offer SIEMENS PLC/HMI, Siemens AC drives, Schneider low‑voltage components, AIRTAC pneumatics; verify final BOM with the vendor.

  • Packaging: seaworthy packing suitable for export is standard

630/6: a planetary cage with 6 bobbins on a 630 mm reel flange, typically used as the high‑speed, in‑line stranding stage for compacting and laying up insulated cores or conductors.
+800/3: a second planetary cage with 3 bobbins on an 800 mm reel flange, commonly used for screening (e.g., copper tape) or as a back‑up stranding stage in a two‑stage line.

Typical process and components for EV‑charging cable lines
Pay‑off: central pay‑off (for the master core) + 6×PN630 planetary cage; optional side pay‑offs for cores or screens.
Stranding: 630/6 planetary cage with back‑twist (planetary) for compact, low‑torsion lay‑up; 800/3 planetary cage for copper tape screen or additional lay‑up.
Taping: taping head for copper tape or dielectric tape; typical taping pitch and speed ranges are available on comparable 400–630 class machines (e.g., pitch 14.5–279.4 mm, taping speed up to 500 rpm).
Pre‑twist/back‑twist: planetary mechanism provides full back‑twist; cradles can be locked for zero back‑twist when required by product spec.
Cooling: water cooling trough after stranding/taping for dimensional and property stabilization.
Dielectric extrusion: single‑ or dual‑layer XLPE (or other insulation) with crosshead, capacitance meter, and pre‑heater for EV‑charging cable insulation.
Metering and capstan: meter counter + capstan for haul‑off control.
Take‑up: PN1000–PN1600 take‑up reels with traverse; PLC/touch‑screen control for tension, pitch, and line speed.
